Category: Design Image Section: Faculty Title: 3A Dimensional Sketches Size: drawings – 9” x 12”, dimensional sketches – 9” x 12” x 6” Media: hand drawings and dimensional sketch models This project was an early exploration of our Hybrid spaceform. We were attempting to test the “buildibility” of what we call ‘n’ space entities. Critical to the exploration was an oscillation between 2D and 3D design and communication media. This series represents our first pass at a kind of dimensional 3D sketching. A key component of our design methodology is the use of rapid prototyping during ideation. This series is a physical manifestation of this process. In doing so, a new archetype was created. And we realized a dimensionalization of our concept of Mechudzu.
