Category:Design Image Section : Faculty/Staff Title of work or project : Hybrid Drawings for an Agricultural Interpretive Center Size : 36” wide x 16” tall Media : Mixed: digital, hand (pencil/pen), photomontage Purpose/Description of the images: The drawing consists of a superimposition of concept images, textual information, site/situation photography, and technical drawings representing the design of an Agricultural Interpretive Center located on a high desert plain in the Pacific Northwest. Relationship to Design Process: The drawing seeks to illustrate the complexities of the design process by combining the technical, experiential, and conceptual aspects of the solution into a singular image. What was learned as a result: Drawings can be combined in unconventional ways to convey substantive meaning beyond just technical “facts”.
